Ama Vulus Soccer tournament

THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT
  • By creating an annual soccer tournament in the rural areas, we keep the children occupied and out of trouble, during holidays.
  • Strengthening relations with SAPS and both the rural and business community in Nelspruit and White River, by increased awareness about the consequences of crime and how it can be prevented
  • Creating local enlistment and ambassadorship with the youth, and increase activity and sportsmanship between schools and learners.
  • Driving communication between different sectors of the community, which will maximize awareness for the Autotec Foundation and its goals as well as the projects run in the community by the SAPS and sponsors involved in the project.
  • Promoting the involvement of the sponsors in the rural community and their willingness to give back to the community and especially their investment in the children of tomorrow

At each tournament the SAPS, ADT and Fire department made learners aware of crime and safety, by speaking to the children and handing out pamphlets.

The Schools of Kabokweni area played against each other in the different age groups, in the knock out phase until only 1 winning team per age group were left.

The Schools of Masoyi area played against each other in the different age groups, in the knock out phase until only 1 winning team per age group were left.
